new van

All in all as 2019 is grinding too a end, its been a okay year for LHH I had too say bye too a few much loved clients as I tried too centralise the business, which was horrible very emotional as I get very attached especially a full time client I have looked after since being a puppy. But onwards and upwards, I have a new van so its enjoyable driving around without water leaking on my head, I loved my old car but I did not look after it and it had lots of issues, so I was glad to see the back of it, I feel like seven years has refreshed me refreshed work new van and I am looking forward too 2020 and the next seven years of Little happy Hounds. good bye May hello June

If i remember anything about May 2017 it will be the cats and lots of cats I have looked after in the last few weeks. The dog walking has gone quiet its half term, so a few of my full time monday to friday dog walking clients have taken the week off, which is great i am walking in smaller groups, and the cats have kept me very busy.

We have had weekend cats, twice a day cats, once a day, a full week duration and what they have in common ? They are all return clients of mine so i feel as a pet sitter i am doing something right, yesterday was really busy, we cat visits George and Cat first thing, did my dog walk, we then cat visited Eustace and Jemima, did my second dog walk then i came home for a break then in the later afternoon, then we cat visited,  Cat, George, Angel and Beatrice, Orlando, and Honey.

today cats!

With the cat care i offer, i am roughly with my clients about 15 minutes but this varies, but as ever i am not clock watching i am doing what needs to be done, i have a lot of shy cats, i don’t see so i am not going to say i am there for 25 minutes doing nothing as the cat spotted me and legged it, no point hanging about once my jobs are done, so i offer no set time. And in the same vein i have lot of playful and a lot of tactile cats, so i prepare their food, change litter trays get all the jobs done and i often play with them, i often taken a long piece of string and we play!! I am fair in what i do, reliable, honest, very caring and i just love kitties, if your in any doubt find our Facebook page dedicated to my cat clients, and i have ten reviews on there from 2016 when i set that page up, i have more on the little happy hounds page,

Little Happy Chinley

Not far from LHH HQ in Whaley Bridge is the village of Chinley High Peak Derbyshire. For a village its actually huge, in my humble opinion, and they are building a new housing estate on the site of a old factory.

It has a number of shops, post office, indian restaurant, laundrette, newsagents and a grocery store.

On one side of the village in Chapel Milton and then Chapel-en-le-Frith and in the other direction is Buxworth and then Bridgemont and the A6 road New Mills in one direction Whaley Bridge and the bypass to Buxton on the other.

For dog walking Chinley is great there is Chinley Churn accessed from Maynestone Road there is a path on the left right at the start of the road, takes you through some fields and up to Chinley Churn, for dog walking take care especially through the old quarry towards Big Stone there can be a lot of sheep up there.

Other dog friendly walks are the Peak Forest Tramway and Chinley has a small nature reserve at the very top of Stubbins Lane. Also at the top of Stubbins lane is a walk up to Overhill Road ( a bridal way) which leads all the way to New Mills at the top of Laneside Road.
