So I thought needed a nice new post with nice recent photos of the dogs on there walks all these photos are tom the first week of June 2020. As you can see I like to go on proper dog nature walks around Derbyshire off leads, I walk in small well organised groups, I like to make sure my dogs enjoy their walks, are physically and mentally exercised, whilst keeping a close eye on them keeping them safe.

As a dog walker, I walk in small groups, all my dogs are tagged with my details, I walk mostly off the lead, we go on proper nature walks around the Peak District National Park, the Goyt Valley, Taxal and lots of other places ! Other services include puppy visits and cat sitting, I am DBS check I have a certificate for that, I am a trusted key holder and I am fully insured, Little Happy Hounds is small pet care business based in Chinley, we began life in New Mills back in 2012, I work alone have no employees, offering a more reliable, caring service, pet care in the High Peak Derbyshire, we have clients in Chinley, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Furness Vale, Buxworth, and Whaley Bridge. I used this blog as a way of posting about the business, I also have a proper website, http://www.littlehappyhounds.co.uk with a gallery, testimonies page and more about the services we provide, we are also on Facebook, you tube and Instagram !

Lantern Pike doggy hike

So most lunch times I take a group of dogs up Lantern Pike, as one of my clients Monday to Friday dog lives up near there. We meet a lot of people on holiday up there tourists, I loose time talking to them and I am always amazed at how far and wide people come to visit Hayfield the Peak District, I have talked to people from Glasgow, Bourmouth and Norfolk up there before now, anyway I always get compliments on how well behaved and socialised the dogs are.

views from Lantern Pike

The hill its self is sheep free, but the field to the left of the bridal way is full of sheep and in places the wall is falling down, should be fixed really so I am very careful too navigate the dogs past these gaps, on top of sheep we are also watching out for bikes, horses and reactive dogs. Most the time we don’t see a soul up there especially in bad weather the dogs love to romp around the heather and we go right up to the summit, this is the kind of walk we offer, dogs are mostly off leads, walking in small groups, off the beaten track, more of a hike than a walk,  all pics are from this last week, Thursday I believe, the little happy hounds do lantern pike, we have a shih tzu cross, a cavapoo, cavachon and cavaliers, I do walk bigger dogs but we have a majority number of smaller breeds I guess as I have Scrappy the shih tzu cross it has attracted more little dogs which is great, love them all big and small.

Little Happy Hounds pet care

Its been a busy 2017 so far for Little Happy Hounds, especially for dog walking and cat sitting. With the dogs I have been going up Eccles Pike quite a lot in Chapel-en-le-Frith, making the most of it being sheep free, thats with my late morning group, and with the lunch timers i have been going up Lantern Pike a lot, i am waiting for my other near by spot to stop being muddy and when it is less muddier ill alternate between the two, later in the year. With my third walk, just three times a week, i walk sisters Amy and Ruby, sometimes with my own dog sometimes with other clients, as I am trying to get fit , i have been leaving Scrappy ( my own dog) and my car at home after walk 2, and cycling to Amy and Rubys  doing their one hour walk and cycling home up hill, bit of a killer. I have been taken them on foot to Toddbrook Reservoir, via Cow Field, which is their neighbourhood,  one day last week we jumped in the  car and went to Lyme Park with them. This week two of my boys turned four years old, i have two clients one cavapoo one cocker spaniel and they share the same d.o.b,  do Facebook mentions on my business page for birthdays,  we have also been busy with our new happy hound Arthur, a miniature Schnauzer, so far this is going well, he’s listening, growing up more and more, i see him Monday to Friday so that has kept me rather busy with all the other dogs in my life.

So thats the happy hounds…

Fridays Lunch time troops

The other side of my business, is the pet sitting work i do. So i go to see cat trio, Honey, Orlando, and Beatrice once a week, I looked after Watson and Tilly a few weeks back, and this week was Pepper, a beautiful black and white cat that i have had the pleasure of knowing since she was a young kitten back in 2015. She’s great just wants strokes and to be fed. As ever got bookings coming up for regular cats, like Eustace, Minuit, and Rosie, Baz Leonard and Agatha, and  new clients i did last year in Furness Vale, have booked in again for March, and i have bookings all the way up to August, i won’t bang on about what it is i do, as my knew thing is i don’t need to advertise, i have detailed the pet sitting service many times in previous posts on various blogs!! This post is just about were we are up to as a small, thriving business!

Anyway pics are from the cat visits I have done lately !

happy walks happy hounds.

Weathers definitely turned more winter than autumn this weekend, i am enjoying a restful weekend,  had Shoba and Alba to visit yesterday, my newest cat sitting clients, who live on a very long canal boat and I did some shopping around Buxton. I had to work last week with a viral cough thing which was not very nice so i am hoping its on its way out as I have a very busy week ahead.

Lots happening on the LHH farm, firstly we have a new dog walking client, Tilly joining us, Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, all three are my busiest days but having met her I could not resist her joining us, she is a Jack Russell x Yorkie, both breeds are my one of favourites, yorkies especially had a yorkie grown up and my current doggie Scrappy is a yorkie x shih tzu. Shih Tzu another of my favourite breeds, such cute dogs with huge personalities.
